Jello Jigglers!

Does anyone else remember these from our childhood?  My nephew just turned 1, and I was given the honor of planning the party.  We went with a “Under The Sea” theme…  More on that later….

One of the food ideas I came up with was Jello Jigglers!  I liked this idea because a few of nephews friends have allergies to dairy and eggs and Jello has neither!  Also, it seemed like something that a one year old could eat without a lot of assistance.

Plus, they are really easy to make!

Simply pick a flavor (I ended up making 4 different flavors… I had LOTS of Jigglers for the party!)

Then buy 4 boxes of that flavor.

Boil 2-1/2 cups of water and add it to the jello powder.   Stir it up so that the powder dissolves.  (DONT add cold water).  Then pour it into a 9×13 glass pan and put it in the fridge.

After about 4 hours, pull it out of the fridge and break out the cookie cutters!

Cut out your favorite shapes

and remove the excess jello (I put it in a bowl for me to snack on later!)

And you are left with a fun shaped snack!

What food have you used at a First Birthday party?
